Introducing Relume Publish MCP
Today we're launching Relume Publish MCP, which lets you build a complete website in Relume from Claude or ChatGPT, publish it to your own domain and keep making updates, all without leaving the conversation. If you're already doing quite a lot of your work inside an AI tool, Relume can now be part of that workflow rather than another tab you have to keep switching to.
In the demo video below, Adam builds a website for Aura, a yoga studio in Sydney, entirely from Claude, starting with a client questionnaire and working through to a published site, a round of client feedback and finally a rebuild in Webflow. If you'd rather skim, we've summarised what Publish MCP is, why we built it and how it works below.
What is Publish MCP?
MCP, or Model Context Protocol, is the standard way for AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to connect to other products. Publish MCP connects them to Relume, so the AI you're chatting with can create a project, write the brief, generate a sitemap and wireframes, set up a style guide, add your images and publish the site, all using the same components and publishing that power the Relume app.
Because it's working inside your AI tool, it can also use everything else you've connected there. In the demo, Claude reads a client questionnaire from Notion and brand assets from Google Drive, and then emails the published link to the client from Gmail, which realistically is the part of a project that usually takes the most back and forth.
Everything you build stays fully editable in Relume. Your project shows up in the canvas like any other, so whenever it's quicker to adjust a layout or tweak your buttons yourself than to describe the change, you can jump in, make the edit and then pick the conversation back up.
Why we built it
We think Relume is the fastest way to build a simple marketing site, and more and more of the people we build for are starting their work inside Claude or ChatGPT. That's where their client notes, files and emails already live, and it's where they're used to thinking through a project. So rather than asking you to copy all of that context into another tool, we wanted to bring Relume to where you're already working.
The other half of it is quality. An AI tool on its own can generate a website, but it's guessing at the design and the code, and you end up having to prompt it for all the things that make a site actually ready to publish. With Publish MCP, the AI is assembling components that our team has designed, tested and QA'd, so responsive layouts, SEO settings and pre-publish checks are taken care of out of the box. The Aura site in the demo passed every check with a Lighthouse score of 100, and we didn't have to ask for any of that.
We also wanted to keep a real design process intact. You can still work through the brief, sitemap and wireframe to get the structure and copy right before moving on to the brand and design, or go straight to design if that's how you prefer to work, and either way you're in control of each step.
How it works
Once Publish MCP is connected, you work through a project much like you would with a designer, just in conversation. Give your AI tool good context to start with, like a client questionnaire in Notion or brand assets in Google Drive, and it can write the brief, create the sitemap and wireframe, set up the style guide and publish the site, while you jump into the Relume canvas whenever it's quicker to make a change yourself. If you'd like to use the same questionnaire I use in the demo, you can grab it here.
If you want to take it to Webflow, Publish MCP also includes a skill that rebuilds your Relume site in Webflow using Webflow's own MCP, following Client-First best practices. The full steps are on the Build in Webflow page.
Get started
Publish MCP works with Claude and ChatGPT, and the setup guide walks you through connecting it.
You'll need this MCP URL: https://relume-publish-mcp.relume.io/mcp
If you're building with an AI editor like Cursor instead, our Library MCP brings the full Relume component library and design system into your editor. You can find both on the Relume MCP page.
Coming next
Relume CMS is landing very soon, so you'll be able to build a blog and manage your content without leaving Relume, and of course without leaving the conversation either.
